Are you ready to explore new places and create unforgettable memories? This month, we have an exciting lineup of tours designed to showcase some of the most beautiful and interesting places in the Angus Glens and beyond.

Half-day ride – Prosen Perambulation and Bothy Board (£50 inc lunch)

  • Date: Saturday 4th July
  • Time: Meet at 9am
  • Meeting Venue: Prosen Kirk Car Park
  • Route: The ride begins at the Prosen Kirk Car Park before heading north-west towards Balnaboth and up into the foothills of Glen Prosen.The journey continues off-road towards Prosen Lodge before climbing to Cairn Baddoch and other tops. The descent back into the glen floor is fast and turns north-west again towards the Kilbo Bothy, passing beautiful river scenes and picturesque waterfalls. The return journey is along the glen floor, taking in a visit to Prosen Distillery before returning to Prosen Kirk

Leisurely full-day ride: Bothy Distillery Experience Ride (£110 including lunch and distillery tour)

  • Date: Sunday 5th July
  • Time: Meet at 9am
  • Meeting Venue: Prosen Kirk Car Park
  • Route: The ride begins at the Prosen Kirk Car Park before heading north-west towards Balnaboth and up into the foothills of Glen Prosen.The journey continues off-road towards Prosen Lodge before climbing to Cairn Baddoch and other tops. The return journey is along the glen floor, taking in a visit to Prosen Distillery for a tour and some lunch before returning to Prosen Kirk

Half-day ride: The Eastern Glens Are Great (£30)

  • Date: Saturday 11th July
  • Time: 9am
  • Meeting Venue: Gella Bridge Car Park
  • Route: Starting at the beautiful Gella Bridge, our journey begins in Glen Moy, climbing to the top of the glen before offering a stunning descent down the shank of the glen. From there, the route turns west towards Glen Ogil, circumnavigatin the hill tops above the Trusty Burn and then desending to the Glen Ogil reservoir. The return to Gella Bridge is up and down, giving the rewards of numerous descents for the effort made in the climbs.

Full-day ride: The Long Turn of the Hills (£60)

  • Date: Sunday 12th July
  • Time: 8am
  • Meeting Venue: Gella Bridge Car Park
  • Route: This one is an epic! Covering Glen Moy, Glen Ogil, Glen Lethnot and Glen Trusta, this route is one for strong legs or e-bikes! With plenty of climbs and well-earned descents, the views on this route are spectacular and the opportunitites to pause and take them in abound! The loop totals over 55 km but is well worth the day out – and what a day it will be!

Half-day ride: Sidlaws Saunter (£30)

  • Date: Saturday 18th July
  • Time: 9am
  • Meeting Venue: Glamis Village Car Park
  • Route: Starting and ending at the car par, this route explores the climbing ridges of the lower hills before the climbs and descents of the more prominent hills in the Sidlaws, linking Aucherhouse, Balkello and Craigowl hills before descending back to Milton of Ogilvy and the final loop of the day.

Full-day ride: A “Monumental” Ride (£80 including lunch)

  • Date: Sunday 19th July
  • Time: 9am
  • Meeting Venue: Airlie Monument Car Park, Glen Prosen
  • Route: A day of ups and downs begins with a climb to the Airlie Monument before heading out atop the hells behind it in the direction of Glen Clova. There will most definitely be some hike-a-bike involved on this route. At the summit of Coremachy, the route turns southwrads and heads down to Glen Prosen, following the valley floor for a couple kilometres rest before a tough climb rewarded by an amazing descent … to a distillery, nonetheless. A pit stop here for some lunch and then the return to the starting point via a little more subdued route.
